When training in water, the special physical properties of water play a very important role in relation to the training effects.
For example, water is more dense than air, which means that the resistance in water is higher than on land during all movements. Because of this, the resistance in AquaCycling arises from the rotation of the brake blades in the water. The higher the cadence, the higher the resistance.

The special features and effects of AquaCycling and AquaFitness, which are associated with the physical properties of water, have been examined in numerous scientific studies at different levels and have been empirically proven.
The studies deal with the effects of immersion and AquaCycling in general, with the specific effects of AquaCycling and AquaJumping in relation to various areas of illness, as well as psycho-social aspects of AquaCycling courses. Individual publications were created in collaboration between AquaKinetics® and various research institutions and were carried out using our products, the Aquarider® and the AquaJumper®.
Below we provide you with an overview of the current study situation, which includes over 30 scientific papers, for download.
